And indeed I do. I love you guys! Thank you for serving our country even if I don't agree with America at all. <.<

Love the troops, not the war. Everyone has a right to choose their path in life. Some want to be artisits, some want to be soldiers. People join the military to be soldiers, not politicians.
It is important to understand that wanting to be a soldier is like any job, and you can lose your life doing it.
I was lucky enough to serve, and be an artist. Who knows what other paths life may take me to. (I was in the Marines for 8 years, and served during Desert Storm.)
I appreciate your sentiment, and your photo, and hopefully some of the troops will too.
Just one thing. You hung the flag BACKWARDS. The stars always go to the LEFT. If you flip the picture, the flag will be in the correct configuration.

Semper Fi.

i think you mean 'serving the president and the arms dealers and oil companies'.
but... y'know.... use sex appeal to sell genocide if you want.

I never said anything about serving the president. I support the men and women in the armed forces that put their asses on the line to protect our country. Maybe they follow our president blindly, and maybe they fight for the wrong things, but for fuck's sake, at least give them a little support for being out there and risking their lives for us.

We fight because of many reasons... each individual has his or her own. Personally, I joined in the hopes that I could make a difference to the troops I fight alongside. I fight for them, for my brothers-in-arms.

And we know many don't support the war. Soldiers hate war the most - we're the ones risking life and limb, and when it's all over, only then do we get to go home and tell our wives, children, girlfriends or boyfriends... without lying, that they're safe, and all is well.

Some troops even don't support the war, but we all support freedom.

To those who say we're the aggressors, keep in mind - the now usurped leader of Iraq, Saddam Hussein was one of the most cruel and oppressive world leaders in the world. The vast majority of people living in that country were starving; medical supplies were unheard of. Rape and murder of innocent citizens by their OWN military was rampant. Eliminating that government and replacing it with one that leads to a better quality of life for those people, even if it is imposed by America, is a GOOD thing. I know there are other political issues that many people don't agree with, but if you take a minute to put yourself in the shoes of the common man or woman in that country, the equivalent of YOU or me living there... you have to understand.

Thanks again, Joy.

they put their asses on the line at the president's whim. i dont see the point in supporting the aggressor, just because they are citizens of the same country as you.

You put a very vulnerable expression on, which is an interesting counterpoint to the big gun. I'm sure there are tons of symbols that can be read into this piece, but I'll stop now and simply say it's lovely.

something needs to be done about the expression...

and I have a bumper sticker that reads SNIPER: No need to run, you'll just die tired,

I have four buddies in the special forces, two in the national guard, and three in the army... their either active or currently at their respective bases, they'd kill me if I don't support the troops... I support the men not the cause. fuck our president, feel for our army

That's an ASG M4A1... ah, there I go again, distracted by the gun. Erm, I mean rifle - RIFLE. AW FUCK, THAT'S NOT A RIFLE! It's a carbine. Yes a carbine. You probably don't know what I'm talking about, but... yeah. That gun is plastic. Mine's metal: [link] ah... sorry if that was confusing/annoying. heh.

It's a nice shot, miss Joy, but it's curious how even whit the big gun in your hands, you still look more like a lover than a fighter.

Peace out!
