This is lovely...what like the most about it is how the pose is so relaxed and natural in feel... It could almost have been a candid shot taken without your knowledge. Brilliant!

Attack? What attack? I made a comment that I disliked your technical approach to photography. The -same- thing you have done to every photo here with Joy. There is no attack here, only the honest opinion that you say I should stomach from you. It really does grate on the nerves doesn't it? To be told that all your work is bad? Frankly, you work isn't bad, it just isn't to my tastes. And I had the grace, and well meaning, to leave -you- a compliment. I do think you're a talented sculpter. You on the other hand, leave nothing but criticism.

Art is about self expression there is no right and wrong way to portray it. The reason there are so many varieties in types of art is because everyone is unique. Sometimes the most effective pictures are the simplest. Neway didn't ur mum ever tell you if you don't have anything nice KEEP YOUR BIG TRAP SHUT.
Art should be enjoyed and valued no matter what it looks like, btw i like this one shows inner beauty

By the way....Art is in the eye of the beholder. I didn't call his work unartistic, I said that -I- did not like it for technical reasons. Nothing wrong with it as a piece of art. Stay out of things that you don't know anything about, and try not to misread, misconstrue things so often, ok? I'm glad you like the photo.

if you attack someones work because you cannot accept a bit of honest critique you are going to get this, you cannot just shout your way into being considered perfect. You are proving yourself to be someone who is used to getting their own way by snarling at all those who disagree with them, i agree with badassball, she should speak her mind, there are so many people disagreeing with you on your attack, all you can do is tell them to stay out of it! does that not say you are being ignorant to opinion? i grew out of telling people to stay out of arguements when i was 12, yet you are arguing in a public domain and cant handle peoples opinions

this is a very different angle than you started with! you cannot possibly expect to attack someone wrongly and then expect to be right all the time, people have got involved as they have deemed you to be wrong in what you did, and as of yet no one has agreed with you, you should at least apologise for the personal attack

my only concern with this one is i dont feel the photographer has captured you as well as i have seen others do in the past. It all seems too easy if that makes sense, almost as if there was no actual time taken to contemplate the pose or the composition

So, I check out what people have to say on my model's deviations. This image is up on my page as well, but I like to know what everyone thinks.
And some people leave me constructive criticism that I take to heart, and consider. Other people, such as yourself, leave random criticism that offers no room for improvement.
As I glance through your gallery, I don't notice anything stunning. I could leave harsh comments on your work that offered you no chance to improve either. Frankly, your work is rather shallow. You have very little variety, and your lighting is very simplistic, and adds little to the photo. It doesn't do your models justice.
Now I'm sure that you think the dark shadowy images are just great, but to quote you "I don't feel that you the photographer has captured your models as well as I have seen others do in the past. It seems as if no actual time was taken to contemplate the pose or the compostion." Now, I paraphrased a bit, but that seems pretty accurate to me.
Not helpful is it? Really kinda....grates on your nerves a bit.
Now. A slightly more acceptable comment would be "I don't feel this image is as well thought out as some of the others from this series." or perhaps, "I don't like this image as well as some of the others from this series, though I do like {insert here} -this- about it."
I don't appreciate random attacks on my work. I get tired of them really.
It boils down to, as it -always- does, if you dislike my work with Joy, or any of my work, feel free to click the back button, and don't look.
You, as an artist, are not someone who I would look to for an opinion. Personally, I'm not a fan of your work, nor do I feel that you put much time or effort into it to justify my respect in that regard, though you do seem to be a talented sculpter. As such, I have no real interest in your criticisms. So, to repeat myself, if you don't like it, please, don't look at it.

Wow. Given that this wasn't between you and I, I'm not sure where you're coming off saying anything. At no point did I -attack- his images, I gave him my opinion, same as he did mine. Also, this was not his only piece of critique, just the one I wrote the longest response to. Give again, that you are not aware of the full situation, please, stay out of it.
And I don't mind hearing what people think, provided it's constructive. He has informed my model that I am a no talent photographer, and she should not work with me. Constructive? No. Incredibly insulting and rude? Yes. I was quite polite, given the background, that again, you didn't know.
