Description An ecological poster I did for school. We could do whatever but it had to be convincing with its message. So I'll leave everyone to interpret the illustration on thier own.
The base was watercolor then colored pencils galore.

I'm putting this in my actual Favorites folder, i.e., the one that has less that 2 pages worth of select deviations for the 10 years I've been on the site.Β

Well we areΒ

balls deep

in trouble.

Damn you for making me do a sexual innuendo. That literally never happensΒ

I can't make a very deep meaning to this but the slow transition of balls to other uncomfortable objects for the baby is rather really well made and making me anxious XD

the baby represents our future generations and the trash is the waste problems were dealing with today.

and i thought the snake stories back south were scary.
there's a reason we don't usually have those outdoors.

I think two or three pieces of trash in that ball pit are mine. Year's ago I used to go around collecting recyclables. But then I realize that picking up a plastic bottle is like saving a penny, not much of a reward for a lot of effort.
Hence why many people don't bother organizing their trash. It's just extra work.

Anywho, Great work of art you got here. It needs to be hung up on the wall of any place that deals with city trash collection, ecological education, or recycling plant.

There's a company called Terracycle that collects impossible to recycle things such as chip bags. It's best to set collections for these types of things up in workplaces or schools, where a lot of it from multiple people can be diverted at once.Β

(also, aluminum pays you a lot more)Β

On planet Earth it is very easy to be wasteful. So much resources scattered all around the globe. However on other planets there are not a lot of resources. THAT is where recycling will shine at its best. Because human survival will depend on it.

in my country not recycling at least biological waste is against the law. and the point isn't to get a penny for every plastic bottle but to make it easier to recycle different materials and re-use them again so there would be less waste.Β
also thank you!!

ooh I saw this on your instagram account, this looks amazing

i'm honestly not that great when it comes with interpreting art

but, my guess would be that the baby symbolizes the youth of

the world being born into a ruined and overly populated earth.

Feel free to correct me if my interpretation is way out of line

with what your message is trying to conveyΒ

I've heard many interpretations that hit the point in a way but are still different from each other, and I like all of them. Yours is good too! Also thank you.

Oh that's cool I'm curious what kind of theme or message did you have in mind at the time that inspired you to compose this piece?

Basically the baby represents future generations of people. Parents usually leave their kids at ball pits when they don't want to deal with them. And there's trash in the ball pit because most people today don't want to deal with the problems of massive consumerism and all the piling trash...

wow I wasn't even close ,but cool I think you did a great job with

the symbolism and the message is pretty relatable with today's day

and age, I personally wasn't super social as a kid so I never really

spent time in a ball pit, I was always more into climbing trees

and playing on a tire swing
