I keep coming back and looking at this and noticing more details. Like I figured out that the Kanji above her little shrine is the name Hamato - so her name is at least half Kanji. 🙂
And I hadn't noticed at first that the drawing of her and Captain Ryan was made by Vin, which is so perfect and so much more funny and fitting.

Oh no, I didn't actually read it, just like you didn't actually learn Tengwar! XD I just guessed that's what it meant and then Googled how to write Hamato in Kanji and found a match. The internet is a beautiful thing.
And yes, I can see Arty pretending to be embarrassed by the drawing, but secretly totally loving it and therefore tacking it on her wall. 🙂

I adore all the details you put in here, but, as you may have predicted, my favorite bits are Arty's name written in Katakana and Tengwar. 🙂
You know I bet it bugs her that she has a foreign name that must be written in Katakana. If she has the same love of Japanese culture that Leo does (which I can tell she does by this picture alone) she probably wishes she could have a more Japanese name with proper Kanji spelling.
And Tengwar. I can't believe you put her name in Tengwar. Firstly, because that makes her a LotR fan, but secondly because you got it right! Do you have any idea how many times people try to write things in Tengwar and I have to hold my tongue and not tell them that they used the wrong letter or put the vowel in the wrong place? It took me weeks of studying the notes in the back of the book (in the days before Google) to learn to do it right. So kudos to you for getting right first try!
I love all the beautiful details. Marie's drawing, the family photos, all the Space Heroes stuff. That silly drawing of Arty and Captain Ryan made me realize that, as a girl, being an obsessive fan of Captain Ryan probably looks a little different. 😛
