Skin Color: Blue with hints of purple

Eyes: Purplish hue as far as anybody knows due to the natural glow.

Hair: Reddish brown and long, with two thick sets coming down the front of the ears and the rest down his back.

General Facts: Born 340 years ago in Raven City on the planet Dysprosia Filan was born into a shipping family. It is and was his legacy to take command of one of the great elf sky ships, Mostly due to the fact that it was a dying industry and very few even wanted to fly the long haul ships anymore.

At about age 20 he joined the flight and command program where over the course of 80 years he had to endure massive amounts of time in the grand observitories where his mind was quite litterally remapped with that of the universe as well as giving him the ability to see the traveling currents he guides his ship along while in FTL. Where a typical human just sees the stars and planets Filan and other ship captains can see actual currents of space time and this is how he directs his ship into the sub dimensional layer aka "Portal Space" for FTL travel. About a month after turning 100 he was Bonded with the Hyperion, his ship. the Bonding process is quite painful but once completeled an elf is able to be in complete concert with their vessel to the point of a stage of link up rarely seen and as such unknown how much it is used where the pilot mentally becomes one with his ship.

Filan was happy in his new role in life and was doing moderately well running the Hyperion as a cruise ship, This is where he met Eline who would soon become his wife and mother of their two kids, Nalif and Viktor. They had a Condo near the Raven City Dockyards and that is where the family tended to live most of the time. Everything changed for Filan 200 years later, it was the ending of refit season. every 100 years all ships are recalled to the home world for a complete strip down and refit. The Hyperion was one of the first ones out, Filan and Naline his mechanic took the ship out of the system for engine testing of the new engines. Strict safety rules kept his family from joining the ride, due to the long life span of the elves birth rates where fairly low and as such rules existed to help prevent an entire family from being wiped out.

Disaster hit at 19:30hrs, Filan was getting ready for sleep and made a subspace link to home to wish his family a goodnight when there was a massive energy surge in the sun in the homesystem. the link went dead. Filan executed an emergency FTL jump but on arrival he found no life signs and no signals, all that remained where lifeless cities. his species had been wiped out by an unknown force. Two years later another hard blow when Naline was killed by sky pirates leaving him in his current status, completely alone.

Abilities:
Lightning Projection: this is his basic magic, he can project lightning over short ranges but it is devestating to most biological and mechanical enemies.

Power Crystals: Filan keeps a myrad of power crystals that are used in devices such as his energy rifle or simply thrown like a human grenade. their effects can be determined by color of the glow. he can recharge them with his own magic or off his ship's power core

Mechanics: Naline was a good teacher to him over the 202 years she served as his mechanic, he can repair or jerry rig almost anything technical.(think of him like Sam Carter, only male and an alien elf)

Mind Link: Filan can like with his ship when in the captains chair, allowing him to basically be the ship. it is amazing in combat but its flaw is he is totally vulnerable to someone attacking him physically should they get on to the ship itself.

Weaknessses:
Physical combat: Filan is strong but he is not a fighter, he is a freighter pilot. he could kick your butt in any flying machine vs flying machine fight but on the ground he is not that potent.

Anti-Magic fields: Sky Elves are highly magical in everything they do including their own bodies due to simple biology and exposure to the constant magic currents of the world they came from. as such AM fields can actually make him weak and tired. they also disable or greatly diminish his tech toys including the ship itself if the field is strong enough. Filan will slowly regerate his magic if able to escape the field long enough, or sleep or can instantly recharge of he can get to his ship and jump into portal space.
