Another jump waited just ahead, Eirwen could feel Lil starting to tire. This was after all her first competition. Eirwen gathered the mare up and together they flew over the jump before them. The landing was solid and they continued on to the next one. Eirwen checked her watch; they were doing very well for time. She tried to rein Lil in to slow her down, just a little she didn’t want the mare to tire out too much. But Lil had her own ideas, ears forward and joy evident in her movements she moved quickly towards the next jump.

Only two more jumps, not long now. Thunder echoed across the grounds once more, Lil shied slightly but with a comforting pat from Eirwen she settled. The last jump was under them and they were heading for the finish line. Eirwen was happy with their time, and their effort. She headed towards Chris who was nearby. He handed Eirwen a bottle of water. She took a quick sip and dismounted from Silverwing. Together they walked Lil towards water. This was where Arius and Spider were waiting. Spider had absolutely no tack on which Eirwen was very curious about, there wasn’t even a halter.

“He is very well trained” Eirwen commented as another clap of thunder echoed around the show grounds. Spider was unfazed by the noise, Lil was uncertain but she didn’t let it faze her for too long.
“Yes he is, Im about to put the training to the test as we are about to compete in the Hiding in the forest.”
“Ah I see.” Eirwen and Lil were exhausted after their run of the course. “I wish you the best of luck, but I will not be there to watch I must see to Silverwing.” Eirwen turned to head for their trailer, which she noticed was now parked a few places down, she could only assume that the trailer next to them belong to Arius and Spider.

Chris turned to Arius and shrugged his sholders, Arius returned the gesture.
