Sweat darkened his light flea-bitten grey coat. His sides heaved as his lungs expanded and exhaled. These were signs that the stallion should have been exhausted, but as he turned to look around him. He was alert and curious.

Nathan's shirt was now a dark blue from his sweat, and his breath came in short gasps. He did look exhausted but pride burned in his eyes. He stallion that was beneath him had bravely taken every jump. Had obeyed to his commands. Really the flea-bitten grey hadn't put a foot wrong.

Slowly Nathan walked the stallion out as he awaited his result. It didn't matter what their end result he was completely happy with their attempt.
