Stock Rules

My stock is free to use as long as the following rules are followed; If Following my rules is just too hard then please do not use my stock!

PLEASE READ ALL RULES - RIGHT TO THE BOTTOM!

Stock in its Original FormStock must NOT be uploaded in its original state anywhere. Please let me know if you see any of my stock uploaded anywhere it shouldn't be.

Stock - For use in Photo Manipulation
Stock must be manipulated in one way or another. In no way should you just stick a filter or effect on my stock and upload it.
As I have had some issues with this rule - I will have an issue with images that are essentially only one image which is my stock. If Items have not been cut, or there is not a blending of items. Please Be Aware that i do not consider simple edits, Filters, Overlays, or Minor enhancements to be Photo Manipulations.

Stock - For use in Drawings - References/Tracing
You are more than welcome to use my stock as a reference for a drawing or sketch. Please see Credit for more information.

Offsite Use
My stock is allowed to be used offsite as long as credits are clear on the image. This includes Sim Sites. This MEANS all images that use my stock offsite are required to display my username. As a General Rule my stock is NOT to be used for coats on howrse.

Exception - Referenced Images - Please See Credit.

Howrse CoatsIf you wish to use my stock for a Howrse coat please send me a note. As a general rule my Stock is NOT allowed to be used for Howrse coats anymore - New rule as at 11 January 2015

Required upload to DA
It is a requirement of my stock that you upload a copy of the art to DA, and that you send me a link to it. This rule gets ignored too much! My stock is available for members of the DA community, I therefore ask that you upload the image to your DA account.

Linking Back
When your stock is completed please send me a link to the final product. I love to see what you all create with my stock, and its common courtesy to let me know that it has been used. Please do not rely on the Mentions system as I am missing a lot of images that use my stock. PLEASE put a physical link on the stock Image Used or my front page. Thank you

Credit
When ever my stock is used please credit, For off site use please Credit fillyrox.deviantart.com on the picture. When uploading onto DA it is preferred that credits appear in the artist description with a link to both my profile and the image so that others can find it.

Exception - Referenced Images

A Referenced image is an image that has been loosely referenced and Not Traced. Referenced Images do not need to have credits on image offsite but if possible it is preferred. All images using my stock require credits in Artist Description on DA.

Commissions
Commissions are fine as long as they are for a single person. Commissions can be for DA Points, Art Trades, Sim Game Money or Legal Tender (Money).

Commercial Use
Where you feel the use may be considered Commercial please contact me via note. Commercial is production for an entity or multiple people or Images may appear in mass media, Printing mass copies of your finished image for sale. Main website headers may sometimes be included as commercial use.

Lineart
It is preferred that my stock is not used as a reference for free to use lineart. If you wish to do this please contact me via note.

Pre-Cuts & Tack-Removals
I am now allowing everyone to use my stock in Pre-Cuts and Tack Removals, Although Rules are very strict and should they not be followed there will be no warnings. Edited Image must be uploaded to DA, In the artist description there must be Links to my Profile, the original Image and these Stock Rules. Any use of the edited image must follow any rules that you set as well as all my stock rules. (Some rules may contradict each other; EG, You may request No Offsite use, therefore the edited image can not be used offsite.) Please notify me of any Pre-Cuts or Tack Removals of my stock so that I can add a link to the original Image.

Prints
"I hereby grant all DeviantArtists permission to use my stock in any and all Deviant Prints without restriction."

Reporting Stock Infringements

Clarifying an Issue with Stock ResourcesThere appears to be a fair amount of misunderstanding on the subject of stock resources so what I would like to do today is attempt to clarify several issues which are of importance to the artists who generously provide stock resources to the public for use and hopefully dispel the confusion and misinformation which is beginning to circulate.

The first issue at hand is in regards to your personal stock terms

Your Personal Stock Terms
Officially deviantART maintains only one "automatic" restriction and that is "No Commercial Use" and that particular restriction can easily be overridden by the actual stock provider.
