A new take on my wife's old scarification.I do have healed pictures of the old version, however, they're on a different camera by now that I haven't gotten around to uploading. We decided to do a bit of an elaboration, and in the process, make the whole bolder.
And just to make a note from the previous picture:
"Added By K: Scarification is a very old form of body modification practiced by many different cultures. It is no worse than tattooing (except maybe in the pain region) and has no worse connotations than tattooing or piercing for personal adornment/right of passage/etc. My reasons are varied, personal, and my own."

I gotta admit, this looks pretty cool. I mean this has got to have taken a lot of precision and skill, not like most of the dumbasses you see who take a picture after they stub their toe and think they're really "dark". But anyway, kudos.

These are really beautiful photos and it's lovely to see that you undertook this little adventure together.
I can't help but clench my teeth a little at the fresh scars, but I wouldn't trade my tattoos for anything so I understand better than some how beautiful modification of the body can be.
The art is beautiful and excellently crafted. Thanks for sharing!

I think the whole concept is badass, even if only in its unconventionality (which isn't the only reason in my opinion). I've seen much scarification, including my own, but I've yet to meet a person who actually carved a work of art into their flesh. Its pretty damned cool, really.
