Description
This is a team with a theme I came up with ages ago along with a dragon themed team (which became Power Rangers Draconius which I've already posted [link] [link] ), but never got the chance to design for 2 reasons;

1. Procrastination and schoolwork
2. Werewolfwannabe already made a similar team and I didn’t want it to seem like I was copying his idea

, but having read Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian (great book by the way best thing I've read since Breaking Dawn, and I'm now eagerly awaiting the new Demi-god spin off series and film version of the Lightning Thief, both of which are released next year) I decided what the heck did a few drawings and made these.

Power Rangers Olympanites

Plot:
Centuries ago King Midas was granted a gift by the gods; the ability to turn whatever he touched to gold, however after realising he could no longer eat food or drink, and accidentally turning his own daughter to gold, he finally realised how greedy and selfish he was and demanded the God's take back their. However Midas' power was connected to his greed and human greed as everyone knows can only be suppressed not completely destroyed, so the Gods did the only thing they could do and separated Midas' power/greed from him and sealed it in Pandora's Box hidden deep inside The Underworld.

Unfortunately an arrogant and selfish demi-god took Pandora's Box using it to unleash hope and defeat a powerful monster with it rather than using might and skill, when he and civilians of a local village celebrated his victory he became so heavily intoxicated he forgot to return Pandora's Box to the underworld and instead left it out in the open.

Fast-forward to the present day, when the Greek Gods have disappeared and are remembered as nothing more than myths and legends, and a mortal accidentally unearths and opens Pandora's Box and is possessed by Midas' power, which having been trapped inside Pandora's Box and had slowly absorbed some of mankind's evil as well as the powers of several dark forces trapped in the underworld, including the Titans, and has been completely corrupted and warped, transforming him into 'insert relevant villain-type name'. Once transformed his greed increased to the point where he desired not only money and wealth but the complete and total concurring of the entire world, to do this he transformed several other mortals into his faithful and willing servants and created thousands of robotic automatons and mythical creatures using his newly gained alchemistic powers.

Fortunately an oracle (having already seen these events) with the help of a satyr, gathers 5 children of several of the Greek gods giving them weapons and equipment created by the Gods centuries ago to fight against the new evil.

Red (Hephaestus), Blue (Hermes), Green (Dionysus), Yellow (Demeter), Pink (Athena)
