The beautiful night parrot, the Kakapo, is the most endangered species of parrot. There are only 90 left! It's a shame, so many animals suffer from human expansion...BAH this is the very LAST thing I should be doing right now...>___<;;; but I haven't done a digital painting in SO long, and `AquaSixio 's recent tutorial made me painfully aware of this, and I knew I wouldn't get anything done if I didn't get it out of my system. but an innocent doodle turned into something more...
it's not a complete waste though, since this little guy is the focus of one of my current comic projects. a possible cover? who knows. I wasn't thinking about it at the time. lol probably not, I'm not too happy with it...

Lovely painting. I'd argue it was rat and stoat expansion rather than human expansion that hurt the kakapo though. And on the plus side numbers are rising, 120 now I think.

Oh god last night I had a dream I went to the 22nd street building only it was like, a country home and Tom was in there stapling all the thesis assignments to the wall and there was a REALLY angry cockatiel flying around in there but I befriended it and let it go outside.
