What is the first impression you have on fairies? Perhaps it is it connection to the feminine beauty, the association with magic and knights. Or is it the close connection with plants and nature. Whatever it is that you think these little faes are associated with, you are half right.

The berry faeries are a subspecies of faes that take on the appearance of small flowers, with limbs similar in shape with pistils and wings of insect, they are said to have a lovely smell. Depending on the geographical location and local biodiversity, each group of the berry faerie have different appearance and smells. They live in small communities and villages, these villages can be recognized by rows upon rows of berry bushes and plants.

the faeries are extremely friendly. They are known to help other animals heal their injuries as well as other group of fairies in need. Aside from taking care of their berry gardens, they are also known to play pranks, use acorns and pebbles as toys and have even known to act not unfamiliar to actors and performers. They will offer berries to other animals (and occasionally humans) to eat.

For whatever reason, these little winged fiends only care for one type of plant: berries. From cranberry, blueberry to even banana (yes banana is technically a type of berry). They will only care for these plants and them only. Experiment shows that if they were to enter an environment without these type of plants, they will migrate to a more suitable environment.

they are excellent gardener, the berries they tend to are said to be many times more delicious and nutritious than normal berries. Who ever eats them will experience a sense of euphoria, all injuries and disease are cured of.

Despite all of this, they harbor a deep dark secret, the berries they grow are very addictive, once you consume these you will crave for more. And once you eat a specific amount of berries your body will go through a transformation. Berries of said species will start growing all over your body, until eventually completely turn you into berries, these berries will then be consumed by the faes and the seeds will be use to plant new berries. Starting this vicious cycle all over again
