This is Kion and Rani's only daughter, born quite some time after their initial meeting.

Kion and Rani had what others would describe as an... odd romance. Though their union and Kion's coronation was a major political event for the Pridelands and Night Prides, it was mostly symbolic. Kion and Rani were not wed during this time. Rani was far too young to lead, let alone marry another lion, but the Night Pride was in desperate need of assistance after Janna's ill-timed passing. Rani proposed herself as a betrothal to Kion to King Simba, in exchange for envoys and assistance to reside in the Night Pride until she reached maturity and would be able to attain full control of her pride.

Despite all this, Kion and Rani were close companions, and both agreed to the proposal. After all, it would be better to marry a friend than a stranger. After the ceremony and following celebrations, Kion would return to the Pridelands to undergo even more vigorous leadership training than Kiara did, as he was already on the cusp of adulthood. During this time, Ono and Anga agreed to act as messengers between Kion and Rani so that they might update one another on their progress and plan ahead for their eventual coronation into the Night Pride leadership.

As the months went on, the young lions' messages quickly became less official and more personal, with the pair sending along declarations of love, comforting thoughts toward their companion, and idealistically planning out a future together. How many cubs would they have? What sort of things would they do for the other in sickness and health? What kind of dates would they want to go on? This long distance relationship lasted for a little over a year before Kion's training was completed, and the freshly mature lion would make one last journey to the Night Pride with the well wishes of his parents and newly crowned sister, Kiara.

It was almost dreamlike, seeing one another again. In a way, it was like meeting a stranger, but in another it was like they had never separated. The couple had managed to remain romantic despite the distance, and no trial their relationship could face from then on would match up to the stress of being so far apart. It was only another year or so that Rani came up pregnant, and the couple welcomed their dear Dalia to the pride months after that.

Dalia is a sweet, caring lioness, attentive and quiet. She loves her parents as dearly as they love her, and she has a great respect for them and the trials that they have gone through as individuals and as a couple. Her gentle personality lends itself well to leadership in the Night Pride, and as a healer at the Tree of Life. Many animals trust her and confide in her, and she leads a happy, friendship filled life.
