's commission of Photo Finish! I just leaped at the chance to make this one - how many times am I going to get a request for Photo in her full outfit?! She was a challenge to make, but tons of fun. Her shirt, skirt, scarf and glasses are all separate pieces, completely removable, made of satins and cottons and are fully lined. Her glasses are magnetic. The shirt was probably the most challenging part of the ensemble - each stripe is a different piece of cloth. It was exhausting keeping track of all of them! I tried something new with her forelock - it took me a few tries, but I think it was successful!Unfortunately part of her expression is hidden under her fringe (she has one eyebrow raised in a "Really, darling?" sort of way and her frowny mouth didn't photograph as well as I could have wished.

Absolutely gorgeous girl! The dress is phenomenal - simply could not have turned out better. Congratulations - what work each strip must have taken! But that patience and determination really paid off. Wow is she a beauty.
LOVE the manestyle as well. The tail especially just brings her episode back to mind - you perfected the poof of it without making it overwhelming. She could not be more beautiful - you were the perfect plush master to bring her to life!

Aw, thanks! There's not a HUGE amount of competition out there, though - she's not a FPC (Frequently Plushed Character). I'm still a fan of agatrix's version
Yeah! It's a little different from how I do my Twi manes, but same idea really. I guess I didn't get her forelock 100% the perfect shape, but I'm pretty happy with the result :3

I've already told you but oh my goodness you did amazing. I couldn't ask for anything more perfect. It's still a shame you didn't hear back from the artist on her cutie mark as I think you did an amazing job on it. The expression, the dress, everything is just beautiful. Thank you so much!

Love her! I really want to make Photo Finish one of these days. You see so few plushies of her, but she's such a great design! COuld you not find suitable black and white striped fabric for the shirt? It sounds like a nightmare sewing all those together separately.

All the striped fabrics I found locally either had much too wide stripes or much too skinny. I also really wanted to try matching the directionality of the stripes, and I don't think that would have been possible using pre-striped fabric.

I just looked up cutie marks after I asked that. I didn't realize we had an "official" one for her now from a brushable on Taobao. Though until we see the actual production toys I wouldn't call it quite canon yet. It's a pretty neat cutie mark though so I'll probably use it if I ever make Photo Finish in the future.

Yeah, I didn't really like the idea of her having the same cutie mark as Twilight, so I'm glad they came up with something new for the brushables. I do like that shutter CM.
