I don't do it because I enjoy it.
I don't do it because I'm interested in any aspect of it.
I don't do it because I like the little numbers and figures on the top of the page.
And I don't do it because I feel rewarded afterward.

I don't do it because I'm well-off,
I don't do it because it's a good institution,
I don't do it because I'm a brain-less follower of redundancy and impracticality,
And I don't do it because there's nothing else to do.

I don't do it because it's my entire life,
I don't do it because I have no friends,
I don't do it because I'm trying to be different,
And I don't do it because I honestly think it'll give me a better future.

Those aren't the reasons.

I do it because there's a right, and there's a wrong, and there's nothing else but that.
I do it because you got it, or you don't.
I do it because it's straightforward, and it's simple, and it's easy.
And I do it because I know how things are meant to play out.

I do it because in life, nothing is ever shaded black or white; everything is gray, everything but this.
I do it because my mind, my being, my soul is too weak to grasp the intricate complexities of everything else that's going on.
I do it because I refuse to live in reality, and prefer to live in a secluded world.
And I do it because it's the only thing that makes sense anymore.
