Description
Two character full illustration for Murashu on FA and his aardwolf characters Murashu and Nisaba. It was an exciting challenge to work with aardwolves, keeping continuity in the traits, while slightly altering their color shades.I played around with a ton of layer improvements in the way I create fur and play with lighting. I'm very fond of how it pulled together.

Lord, your details are always phenomenal; and not just that. I've always been fond of the way you do your anatomy because it's so pleasing to the eye. The fur looks astonishing with the subtle-ness of the night sky and the luminosity of the fire reflecting off of each strand. Stunning work on this c:

I LOVE how this came out!Β The fur detail in this is just MADDENING! *WOW*!Β I seriously wish I could blow this up to gawk at all the fur. Jeez.Β The lighting too is SO SO PRETTY.Β That blue and orange ahhhh I love it so much!Β I also love how amazing and swishy the fire is!Β And I love all the teeny tiny stars and the little meteorites too.Β AND THAT SHINY MEDAL OH MY GOD.Β I love how shimmery and perfect it is!Β And all of their jewelery is so detailed and AMAZING! And that furrrrr ahhhh THE FUR. SUCH a good job!

I think this piece, especially the fur, has pushed me to some new levels. I played around with sooo many different layers in their fur alone that I absolutely love the outcome. I think it's one of my best fur renders, to toot my own horn.
I went nuts with this piece and have to say it's one of my personal favorites.

Oh wow this looks great. There is a lot one could praise in this. Let's see.. The first thing I always seem to notice about your work is your lovely anatomy and the details in the fur and muscle. I'm also very impressed with the lighting, the glow one would get from a fire is portrayed perfectly here. Add that to the stellar background and those flames themselves! Wow the way you did the fire is awesome, and how you added the extra movement and the figures/creatures in it that flow in well with the rest of the flames to keep a realistic look. You did very well with this one.

I usually have a much easier time creating fire and manipulating it how I like, but for some reason this seemed more challenging. It didn't turn out quite as I'd hoped, but the effect held the same sway. Thank you very much! I thoroughly enjoy the final look of each aardwolf. The fur and playing around with different layers made the fur much more realistic in my opinion.Β
