Warning: longwinded post ahead!

Whoo hoo! It's finally done. This picture took me a few days to do, I even put off drawing in Pat's sketch book to finish it; I'm selfish I know, but I just couldn't let this wave of inspiration just pass by without tapping into it!

This is Isis the Faerie Kau/Eyrie hybrid: Siren of the stars; daughter of Klofen the cloud Kau and Red the fire Eyrie. She's the manifestation of Red's mad thoughts and longings of Klofen while he was away, so she looks more Kau then Eyrie. I gave Isis hoved feet as well as finger tips, but because she's also has Eyrie blood coursing through her veins she has clawed tips, fangs, and a set of wings that are made of pure energy.

I was having a lot of trouble coming up with her character design; I wanted her to look like Klofen while also keeping some of Red's attributes as well. I decided that her pelt would have pale blue flame markings on a white/blue base with flames around her snout and stomach; both climbing to a point: one between her breasts and the other right between her eyes. (That's the egg she's born from down on the bottom right.) Isis also has Red's eyes; those sad, ruby eyes that often get her mistaken for being weaker then she actually is.

Isis's personality is made up of everything Red remembered about Klofen when she presumed he was dead. Head strong, gentle, loving, yet extremely strong and protecting; the only difference is that Isis has a strong... belittling opinion of other men, who will always be viewed as either "weak" or just "not good enough" in her eyes. Looking up to her father as her greatest hero (picking up on Red's train of thought yet?) Like her father Isis has the power over lightning one of the reasons I made her so light; I wanted her to be able to look like she can glow.

By the way, she's not mad, she'd just got one of those permanent scowls from looking down at other men all the time; she's actually quite friendly. Well, to female friends at least; no one can match up to her daddy.

Anyway, when it's all said and done Isis is one part Siren, one part brutal warrior; which should make for an interesting character, yes? The picture is titled Genesis of Next which is a song by Globe and the end theme song for an anime called Cyborg 009; the very same song that inspired me to get off my lazy ass and start working on this.
