you know just because somebody seems nice or treats you kindly doesn't mean there that way towards other people. For example Mrs. and Mr Riley, they told the people who put kids like me into homes that i would sleep in a bedroom with enough room for 2 children, but that wasn't true i sleep under the stairs in a closet with only enough room for me to lay scrunched up. now what would you think of the so much caring Mrs and mr Riley. I'm only let out during school and for supper, sometimes not even for either. they would leave me in there for the weekend giving me only a granola bar or some broclli. they will let me go to the bathrooom if i'm good, whicj i am most of the time. i'm forced to tell people that they don't do these things or i'll end up without supper for 3 days. but now i've been messing with the lock and finally broke it! i waited till they were done eating watching T.V. and for the same thing mrs. Riley tells me each night "we love you Stormie." I don't response like usual and listen till i hear both sets of footsteps were completly up stairs. no light shone into the closet so i got out my flashlight they let me have. i shoned it ouside thhe closet door as i opened it carefully. i garbbed Mr. rileys jacket that i used as a pillow. next was the hard part getting out without making any noise. walking slowly i made sure i didn't step on any of the loose boards. i did this everyday since i got here so i know which baords creek and which one don't. i made it to the the door i unhooked the latch turned the lock and walked out without even a single distirbance to the kind couple upstairs in their comfty beds. i inhaled a deep breath it was the first day of summer vacation. running down the street towards the woods. i paused before i steppedd into them and stared up at the window where they slept without any noitice of my disapearence. "goodbye." i smiled and ran ito the woods.
