AU thingy that came to me randomly.

In a world where ghosts are either whatever is left from people unable to completely pass on and creatures sired by other ghosts directly in the Ghost Zone, it happens that a ghost and a human may be compatible and able to breed. It's the only way to create real halfas - humans can gain ghost-like powers, and ghosts don't like that.
Dan, Danny and Dani are siblings and halfas, sired by Vlad Plasmius. Vlad Masters is 100% human and longtime ally of Plasmius in the human world, so the siblings were dumped at his place from time to time, especially when things were getting too dangerous in the Ghost Zone. Unlike canon Danny, their natural form is their ghost half: if their energy drops too low, they'll naturally revert to it (probably a side effect of living most of their lives in the Ghost Zone, instead of being raised on Earth).
