Description The Crows at Latrobe are always out t lunch. Shot with my new fix focus lens (50mm although its about 75mm equ on the d70), and this one was a bit shy but got a couple of good shots. This is the firt that I've posted for a while as I'm desperatly trying to find time to repair my main system still....

Wow...you got the crow in perfect sharp focus; that mode sounds very useful
The shape of the wings and detail of the feathers is very nice..

The 300/350D has a continuious focus mode? I believe that it is called AI-servo. (your cam exif data from your gallery). It uses AI-focus in most modes, single focus untill the focus point changes and then it breaks into servo mode or continuious mode. The only mode that this is always (servo mode that is) is on is Sport preset mode. To be honest it's one of the reasons I opted for the D70s, there are several options not availble on the 300/350 or the D50 for that matter (not that it was available then).

The Sports preset also allows continiuos shooting (which is how I got this shot it was actually 3rd of 5), so using this should give you simmilar results.

AF-C mode (continuious Autofocus) on the D70s is Awesome for this if you can track the subject well enough, my video experience comes in handy here. It's not so good for stationary subjects as it occilates slightly some times but for fast moving it's the only way. Chech out [link] and [link] Without this mode these sort of shots are impossible, or at least heighly improbable.
