I don't have enough experience to critique, but I can say what's on my mind.
I love the expression. Especially the fact that one of the wires crosses over his mouth, which adds a greater "I cannot speak" quality to it.
I don't quiet understand how exactly your model is staying upright. The angle at which his boots are propped on the rocks leads me to believe that the photo was taken at an angle. Was it?
There seems to be a slight discoloration in his lips. It adds immensely to the effect that he is pained, both within and without.

Ive noticed some up and down commenting, and I have to agree with some naysayers that I vehemently disagree with this having a DD since in my personal opinion while the concept, and even the quality of work/photography is fine, the picture itself has no spark, he just looks like he got caught in a chicken wire fence while leaving a nightclub

Arachnid is a fan of nude work, and seems to want to represent nudes amongst the DD's and since in his own opinion there aren't many good male nudes that are not purely erotic he is doing his best to find ones that he finds suitable.
Tell me what you think of "To Have, To Hold, To have held" its my other DD from a year or so back.

i probably prefer the other piece to this one but I sincerely dont mean to offend you btw lol, I appreciate that when a DD gets picked it isnt going to please everyone but Ive become a bit more talkative with the photography i see on DA, theres some great stuff but alot of it leaves me sort of wanting more of a story, i think im getting old lol

I actually hate this image, it was a mock up for another image that I never went through with.
I do not argue with admins though, I've had 3 daily deviations on 2 accounts and had one of them removed. Although I myself am always mystified when I get a DD, I personally do not believe I am where I want to be with my artwork.
The story to this is reflected in the poem, it was part of a larger series that was never finished and never fully shot (until recently...upcoming series)
And do not worry about my feelings, I do not offend easily.

well the idea of it being part of a series makes more sense for me than the image being a polished piece, and well cant complain too much about a DD i guess lol
