Long time, no Korra art. I just recently got caught up on Book 2 and Book 3 and I've been really enjoying Korra. Book 2 is pretty divisive, but Book 3 has been awesome so far, exactly what I've wanted from the Korra series this whole time. I've got some other pieces I've had half finished for literally years, those might end up as some sort of sketch dump. Mostly muscle stuff as well.ΒEDIT: Hey, how about that, someone uploaded this to Know Your Meme, for kicksies I guess. I guess thats what I get for allowing it into more "regular" groups. Heads up though, from now on I'll be flat out declining any group adds that aren't obviously geared towards this stuff. So don't bother submitting it to generic animation or Nick groups, because all you're doing is wasting your time and mine.Β

Really like the shape and feel of this one. There's a great balance of both masculine and feminine features here, which is something I really love. Hope to see more like this in the future. ^w^

Damn but I totally LOVE a more muscular, bulky Korra. Fits her so well I am miffed I haven't seen even more of it.
Big busty amazon Korra is amazingly nice; she looks as muscular here as everyone in the show seems to TREAT her as, curiously enough.

Book 2 has a slow start and I initially really disliked that Bolinn was further pushed into his pigeonhole of comic relief (sure Sakka was oft used for laughs but he was the man with the plan) but I think if you watch it in quick succession, it actually works a lot better because you're overcoming the pacing issues it has at the start.
I've been rewatching it with the wife and I have to say, I think I'm enjoying it more the second time around... although, we could have done with less toilet humour from Milo, that has always struck me as pandering to a younger demographic that in pretty much every respect, Korra seemed to be less interested with.

I felt pretty similarly. I had a lot of problems with Book 1 when I watched it piecemeal, but when I got the DVD and marathon'd it, a lot of my issues with Mako and some pacing stuff were fixed.
My problem with Book 2 was really the hackneyed reuse of the love triangle, and how Korra hadn't stopped making rash decisions. Everything after the Avatar Wan stuff stopped that, and the love triangle has been fully resolved and Korra herself thinks things through moreΒ thoroughly.
Book 3 has been a delight so far though.Β

Honestly, I always felt Book 1 of Korra was just intense. After episode three, it just keeps going until the finale. There's no real let up. I felt that even watching it week by week. Amon is almost IMMEDIATELY this credible threat that has Korra (and everyone in Republic City) terrified and rightly so.
I really don't think the love triangle angle was overplayed in Book 2, it was kind of a big deal in Book 1 with Korra pining and Mako pining but getting with Asami and so on. Book 2 kind of underplayed it, Korra and Mako break up pretty early in the season... then Korra gets amnesia and then is like "Yeah, we're done." Given the fact they're all still teens, that's kind of surprising...
Book 3... well, I'll start on it when the wife and I finish Book 2.

I definitely liked the second half of Book 2 over the first. Avatar Wan and Giant Spirit Korra were great. Book 3 just feels like TLA style everything, which is what they really needed from the get go.Β

The only episodes I liked from Book 2 were episodes 7 and 8 (Avatar Wan). Glad that Book 3 really fixed those problems up. ^^
