They are beautiful animals, and my favourite big cat. With jaguars a close second.

yea, jaguars also are pretty cool. I personally love the cheetah(though i forgot if thats a cat or not i think it is)

Yup, it's a cat. And actually, the cougar and the jaguarundi are it's closest living relatives. There used to be cheetahs in the Americas, back in the days of the Bering land bridge. Then they died out, leaving only the African and Asian populations, which are in some serious trouble these days. Unfortunately.
