I've got renders to post but now the prospect of animations intrigue me. I've been working on a few actual animations, but if people are interested in revisiting old scenes like this and rendering them out in a near-panoramic view like this.. let me know! This one comes in a much larger size, but I haven't figured out how to loop something that isn't a GIF.

Love it, however as the wiiking 2000 suggested, would be better if it was slower. Additionally, why not reach out to the community to help you with rendering times? I myself have a very capable rig that can do the donkey work of some of these animations.

rendering times (time which the computer is working hard without any input from the user) are very long for detailed animations, usually taking several hours for a few seconds of animation

I'm aware of this, but how would you be able to render the scenes in Iray for someone else? You'd have to have all the props,models, and everything else purchased, other wise you'll end up missing props.

I always prefer animation to still images but I try to maintain a "beggars can't be choosers" logic about it.

This kind of scenes could be great with your series "Loving them" for example, but for me it's the some feeling like if it was 3 images from different angles, otherwise if all was animated.

How long does a animation with 2 1080ti's take per frame lol?
My 1070 does only about 1.5 to 5 minutes for a minimalist image at 900x720

I also rendered the animations at around 900x720. For this scene, it was 30 seconds per frame.
