This curious little fellow came in to visit us in the living room one evening. Or course, after the close-up flash in his face, he might be seeing spots for a while.It's my entry into the close-up photography contest here: [link]

I live in Atlanta, Georgia. That little guy looks pretty scary, but he was only about 2 inches long. I'd hate to see a 6 foot one though... Yikes!

The pose of your "model" is great (it's right arm is exactly in this "I'll get you!" position)!

Rotation is cool, I would clip pretty much from the right sinde, a bit from the top, a little bit from the left and propably nothing from the bottom. So that the head is near the upper right corner - nut not too near - and the claws point to the lower left corner.
But I dunno, maybe that wouldn't look as good as I think
You could have put the little guy in the refrigerator before taking the shot, that would have slowed him down (I think)

The original photo wasn't framed very well since the little guy really didn't want to stand still for photos. I cropped the best way I could from the angle and composition of the original. It's also rotated about 150 degrees from the original viewpoint. It wasn't an easy shot to get, so I took what I could. Thanks for the constructive advice though. I sincerely appreciate it.

We've got them all over, but it's still a thrill to get to see one up close like this little guy. Seems like the house always had one in it visiting in the evening.
