Sorry about this being in your inbox; most of it was drawn back in February so it probably doesn't look that great; I know I hate how it turned out. Just let your eyes glaze over most of it and ignore the middle one completely (his head is to big and his looks wonky and too muscular or something like that; I never seem to do him justice), and you should be fine (then your eyes won't combust).

At the time I had thought it would be easier for people to have just one reference for him instead of me sending multiple pictures, but I didn't portray him the way I wanted to so it was kind of counter productive. Anyway there are a lot of words on there that you might not be able to read so I will write all that stuff in here as well and some other information.

General information:
-Name: Thing isn't actually his name that is just what he is called
-Gender: Male (hopefully that is obvious at this point).
-Height: 6 feet 4 inches tall
-Eye Color: Glasz
-Hair: White with darkish gray on the ends(the gray goes up about three inches (not strict) and fades into the white part of his hair). His hair is at a slanted cut (the hair on his right goes only to brushing his shoulder and then goes at an angle to his left where it is about 4 inches past the shortest part of his hair (mentioned before)).
-Hair Styles: He sometimes puts his hair up in different ways (sometimes just for convenience(because his hair might just be in the way) and other times for style but he doesn't care too much). The hairstyles shown are not the only ones he uses (just an FYI).
-Wing Span: 14 feet long
-Wings: His wings are similar to his hair. They are white with darkish gray tips on each feather(there is no specific as to how far the darkish gray goes up on the feathers [it can vary]), and the wings are also darkish gray at the base near his back. The outside side of his wings are slightly grey (the difference is hardly detectable though).
-Body build: He seems fairly lanky because of his height, but he is actually pretty well built (lean muscle fit more for speed and agility than brute strength).

Outfit shown: (top left corner) His shirt is white, his belt is dark gray and his pants are slightly lighter than the belt(that is just one of his outfits though).

What he generally wears:
Shoes:
White or black dress shoes, mid-calf or knee high black boots with straps or laces (potentially worn metal pieces)
Pants:
Distressed, whitewashed, or blotchy bleached jeans (if bleached then really light blue(with white bleach), really light grey(with white bleach), or blue-black(with a slightly blue-white bleach)).
Type of jeans: Skinny or straight (possibly boot-cut)
Fitted cargo pants(aka cargo skinny trousers) (a lot of pockets and still room for movement but not as loose)
Shirts:
Fitted coats, jacket hoodies, long sleeve silk hoodies (exposes the neck more), multi-zipper jackets, or high-collar coats. Waist coats and dress shirts (no ties unless for a formal event). Very rarely, but still has a few non-ribbed turtleneck sweaters (both loose and tight around the neck). There are slits on the back of all his clothing for his wings to come through.
Colors:
Generally colors that aren't bright (black, charcoal, white, grey, brown-mahogany, wine, and other muted or dark colors)
He also sometimes wears necklaces, but I haven't come up with those designs yet.
Accessories: Sometimes scarves (depending on the outfit)

Personality:
It is very hard to describe his personality because he tends to have a few different ways he acts. Thing is more so to himself but when he does talk to people he sounds and acts very gentlemanly(this is more or less an act because he doesn't like people knowing his true feelings). He tends to have trust issues and doesn't really like being around many people, but he doesn't let that show (someone would have to have known him for a while or be very detail oriented to notice that he is not being all that genuine). He is composed most of the time and has an elegant air about him. He can also sometimes be critical. There are only a select few that he actually acts like himself around. Those he does trust he acts a bit more freely and less stiff, even a bit jokingly. He isn't super expressive unless a situation permits it (most of the time he acts in accordance with a situation). He is leader of an army so he is also very authoritative when he has to be.

Interests/Skills
Leadership skills. Marksman or handgun shooter. Expert in swordsmanship (specifically hook swords). He also can function as an engineer (he often fixes and makes things in his free time that his army could end up using). Plays some instruments (mostly string instruments).

Weapons used:
*Hook Swords - Often used in pairs, the hooks of the weapons may be used to trap or deflect other weapons. The back is used as a regular sword. The hook is used to trip enemies, catch weapons and for slashing. The end of the hilt is sharpened. The crescent guard is used for blocking and slashing. The link is used when using a pair. The two hooks can loosely connect, and the wielder swings one hook sword, in a way that the second is extended further out, almost six feet. While the second is in the air, the dagger upon the hilt slashes the target. In this way, the wielder can extend their reach out from three feet to six(one hook sword is about three feet long).

*Butterfly Swords - About as long as a forearm as to easily conceal in a boot and also allows for better maneuverability when spinning or rotating in close-quarter fighting. Usually comes in pairs(Thing only has one because he had given the other to his second in command Lieutenant General Blank). The butterfly sword has a small crossguard to protect the hands of the wielder and can also be used to block or hook an opponent's weapon. In some versions the crossguard is bigger offering a second handhold. When held in this position the swords can be used in a different manner(sort of similar to the movement of hook swords). They can also be used as brass knuckles. Traditionally only sharpened along half of its edge (from middle to tip). From the midpoint down is blunt so that it can be used to deliver non-lethal strikes and to block without damaging the sharpened edge. On average the blade is 11.5 inches and the handle is 6 inches.
