Pathetically enough...I can't get this to work.
When I try to drop the alpha on the 'shadow' it drops the alpha of the whole danged thing instead of just that layer. What the heck am I screwing up here? I know it's gotta be something simple...

when u click ur graphic, check ur property panel, there is a dropdown box, click and choose alpha

If you speed it up and make the alpha lower and brightness darker its good for fast scenes too. Think StreetFighter and you'll understand what I mean.
