In your piece I love the colors. The red seems to intensify the sense of rage I feel from the model's expression. The overlay of her face adds a sense of sadness as you can now see her eyes. The sense of rage turns into a more subtle plea a silent scream of sorts. The way you have used the lighting also plays to your advantage; seeing as now we have the light and the dark we are emphasizing this anger/sadness things aren't always as they seem facade.
The two things that I noticed that might have helped a little was that the overlay was a bit to opulent or... dark. It makes it a little hard to focus on the whole thing, but you get used to it as you stare at it. The other thing is that it might have made more of an impact if the model had crumpled a bit more, making her seem even more broken and then taken some tension out of her arms.
Other than those things I think you have yourself a perfect piece.
