Description
It’s been a few weeks since Mika contracted this mysterious disease and it’s been absolute hell since then, she has had constant headaches for about 2 weeks now and she can’t stand it anymore. It feels like someone cracked open her skull, ripped out her brain and set it aflame. The first few days were ok but it started getting worse and worse, from having random spurts of uncontrollable magic to blood starting mixing in with the black substance that flows out of her magic glands, mouth and nose. she went out to town and found whatever food she could during the time to store up and to also help the other sick Wyngro. She was already sick so there was no harm in helping them...right? Her throat was so raspy and dry from barley having anything to drink and throwing up every now and then that she stopped talking all together. It was absolutely miserable having no one to talk to since she was now confined to her bed, it felt like pins and needles were being jabbed into every part of her body all at once. With all of this time to herself it makes you think of some weird things and leaves you time to reflect on your life and remember your friends and loved ones. Her older brother zona, he wasn’t the kindest gro but he still loved her dearly even though he was bad at showing it. Mika hasn’t seen him in months...I hope he’s ok. Then there’s Temno, one of her very few childhood friends. She had always meant to thank him for staying with her through the tough times but she never had the guts to say it. Tears would pour out of her eyes whenever she thought about it so she always tried to keep it in the back of her mind. Sure it was difficult but since she’s been getting more and more exhausted each day, it has been easier to fall asleep. But as every day passes and the clock ticks on by, she worries if one day, maybe even today, she’ll fall asleep and never wake up and join Chii Fala and all of the other fallen Wyngro of wynsiph. It was a bittersweet thought, but it’s better than some other ones she’s had.
When the food started to run low, that’s when Mika really started to panic. She couldn’t leave the house, he’ll she could barley even walk around her own house as she is! Mika knows that she could of been a lot worse off than some of the other Wyngro she has seen and her stomach wrenches at the thought. She didn’t wanted to be alone again, it reminded her too much of her childhood. Her brother always seemed to be away doing Chii knows what while she was left at the Nook to look out for herself and sometimes would hang out with Temno. He was the only Wyngro who made her childhood worth remembering and cherishing. Slowly she started to eat less of her rashions, trying to make the most for as long as possible as she kept herself quarantined in her house. Her ribs started to show more and more as the days passed. Her breathing was spurratic and shaky as she looked up at her ceiling, the sunlight shining in her eyes, causing her to look away from the window and squint her bloodshot eyes shut.
Mika has been trying her best to stay awake, in her fatigued state she was sure to die soon without any nutrients and the disease slowly eating away her body. She was terrified to say the least, as soon as she felt the bile crawling up her throat, she snatched the trash can by the end of her bed just in time before puking her guts out, sucking in raspy breaths as her limbs shivered in pain. She spit out some black goop into the trash can before shakily setting it back down. A mixture of tears, blood and black goop were pouring out her eyes, nose and mouth. She put her hands on her forehead, pushing her hair out of her eyes so she could see. She heaved herself up, a shock of pain shooting up her spine as she heard her bones crack and shift made her whimper out in pain. In a shaking fit she fell back onto the bed, her head falling back onto her pillow. Sobs ripping out of her throat as one of her arms fell to her side over the bed and the other rested upon her chest as mika looked out the window once more, able to catch a glimpse of the outside world. The potted plants on the window sill were wilting and she saw some Wyngro wandering the streets. She wanted to scream, smash her window to pieces so someone would look her way and be with Mika in her final moments...but she could barley even muster a cry anymore.
Mika didn’t care if the sun shone in her eyes, she wanted to look at what little the world offered here while she was still alive. she smiled as she saw a loomee land on one of the plants outside her window, gazing at the Wyngro laying there, staring right back. It shifted closer and put its tiny little hand on the window as a raspy laugh came out of Mika’s as tears started to flow once more. It was heartwarming to see a Loomee like this in her time of despair, it showed there was still some hope in this town, in this world. Maybe this Loomee would guide her spirit to the warm light of Chii Fala and put her soul to rest. Of sensed her loneliness in needing a friend. Whatever drove this small creature here, she was immensely greatful. The sunlight on her face felt comforting as her chest slowly started to lift up and down, going slower and slower, her smile fell from her face as her head rolled to the side as she let out one last shaky breath before the whole house fell silent...may Chii Fala bless your soul...
