Thanks
I know, Hope Falls is fantasic! I loved it so much, and the best part is that my copy of issue one is signed by Tony Lee himself when I met the guy at school
I've got more stuff now, I need an update photo xD

Whoa. One second there. Tony Lee visited your school?! Should he even be allowed to do that?! some things that man says... lol
was it promoting his comic in the DFC?
anyways. i wish he would come to my school. but i met him and Dan Boultwood at the MCM Expo, which was cool anyways. And they signed my copy
i have the same sorta collection as you but instead of Spiderman comics, i have batman ones.

Lol well some of the stuff he said was kinda rude but funny, all we had to do was protect the year 7s but we were old enough (as in the 4 sixth formers that were there) to actually buy Hope Falls as the librarian wouldn't sell it to the younger ones. But he knows one of the English teachers and he was invited in for Reading Week, but it was absolutely awesome to meet him, he is totally md and I loved it all.
Ah, you're a DC fan more than Marvel, the only Batman comic I've read is... Child of Dreams I think, which I really enjoyed and read in like a day (and that was with going to school that day as well lol).

He IS hilarious. all that talk of midgets... lol
Have you heard The Panel Of Legend?
Yeah, i like Dark Horse comics as well.
Ah it really annoys me when i buy a comic for like £12 and they only take me an hour or 2 to read

FlightlessAngels In reply to drwhofreak [2009-06-02 19:02:47 +0000 UTC]
I know, but at least you can re-read it again and again
But yeah, the midgets, I'm sure he mentioned them at ours as well xD
It was great when he found out that everytime he said Neil Gaiman my friend next to me had a kinda arm spaz attack as she loves him, and when he said David Tennant this lass behind me went Ahh, it was so much fun
He also signed a copy of Starship Troopers for me, he's well ace ^^

Yeah and use the panels for reference.
He seems to be constantly mentioning them. i think he's obsessed.
lol i would've probably done both of those things
he signed my copy of doctor who - the forgotten
but yeah, the panel of legend, have you listened to it?

FlightlessAngels In reply to drwhofreak [2009-06-02 20:23:26 +0000 UTC]
Nope, never actually heard of the Panel of Legend before you mentioned it. Is it good then?
And I really want Doctor Who the Forgotten, he was telling us about it but I never got around to looking it up and buying it. I'll prolly get it from a comic shop off Ebay some time

it's hilarious.

WARNING. CONTAINS HILARIOUS DISTURBING NOT MAKING ANY SENSE STUFF.
It's pretty awesome. there's one bit where i literally just sat and stared at the page for at least 20 minutes just going 'WHOA. SHIT. REALLY. OH MY GOD. WHOA.'
i'm wanting to get the other doctor who one by him, the Time Machination. it's meant to be really good too. but i don't think you can buy it in the uk yet. but still - INTERNET SHOPPING
lots of bold in that comment lol

Ta for the link
I never knew there was another Doctor Who one, I'll have ti investigate and see if I can get it. I get all my comics off Ebay, unless I go to the comic shop on the train but they don't always have what I want, while at least on Ebay I can see whether it is in stock and don't have to have a wasted journey.
What else do you read then? Or are you mainly a Tony Lee person?

Ah there is. and he's writing another monthly installment dr who one. and you can get it in england now
I read the umbrella academy, batman stuff and neil gaiman stuff when i can get my hands on it. and random other things i pick up from comic stores and expos.
*i need to buy more comics. but first i have to get out some money from the bank :/ *

I need to read Sandman, I've red The comical Tragedy or the tragical comedy of Mr Punch, which was freaky but fantastic! But that is Neil Gaiman for you

Whoa, that's a lot for a book! Like how I wanted this Watchmen book and it cost a bomb when it first came off so I was really like Ooo sounds good then kinda shuddered away at the price.
Have you been to see the film then?

no i haven't. i keep meaning to

FlightlessAngels In reply to drwhofreak [2009-06-06 13:52:29 +0000 UTC]
Aww, well I'l prolly go and see it when it comes out on DVD. I don't go to the cinema often as it costs too much and you see it once and that is it, while with a DVD you pay for it once and watch it as many times as you want
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
drwhofreak In reply to FlightlessAngels [2009-06-07 20:17:55 +0000 UTC]
ah but cinema tickets are less expensive than dvds. though admittedly the watching it over and over again is a good point
or you could watch it online as many times as you want and you don't have to pay!

Ah, but in my house I don't own either of the laptops so it means I'd have to keep borrowing them and it's easier to just watch the DVD
