Dr. Chef Pirate Captain Detective Jonchao Shadow – known to his mates as Jon – was born and raised by his grandfather in Fiji before he was forced to flea his ransacked village at the age of thirteen after a band of pirates took his only guardian prisoner. During his many long years as a vagabond he was a very successful sous chef. At the age of twenty-seven, he decided to make right with the pirates who had looted his village. In an ironic gesture, he purchased a sea-worthy vessel with a ragged crew and appointed himself the very first Fijian pirate captain. He swore to discover the identities of the pirates who had captured his grandfather while changing the face of piracy forever. He traveled the world trying to find cures for diseases and giving candy to children while searching for clues to the whereabouts of this grandfather’s captors.
