Description
Lassie the harpooned hammerhead shark is an honorary member of the crew of Jon’s ship. She has been Jon’s scout and messenger ever since a member of the crew, mistaking Lassie for a flesh-eating horror of the sea, attempted to keep the shark at bay by throwing a razor sharp harpoon right through the left section of Lassie’s head. Jon – being a doctor – brought the hammerhead mess on board and stopped the bleeding. Unfortunately, Jon was unable to remove the harpoon from Lassie’ head. To make it up to Lassie, he taught her to communicate by using the Semaphore Flag Signaling System.
