Oh mah goodness. I love it. I love the simplicity. Almost every other 'eye' tutorial ends up with 27 layers, sixteen different 'dodge' 'burn' 'multiply' and whatever other overlays can be found, and top the tutorial off with a dash of glittery sparkles for that complete over-achieving time consumption eye. Three days later, the end product doesn't look any better than this. This is just the right amount of effort for a good end product. (although personally I'll be doing a line of shadow from the eyelid on the white of the eye.)

By the way, this is just an iris coloring tutorial. It'd be a bit longer if I added the shadow X'D especially since the way shadow works on an eye depends on the light source of the particular environment a character is in.
