Very nice work. I love the texturing. However the blood does look a little pixelated. However, it doesn't even come close to messing up the image.

i think the image is perfect as it is...
in my opinion, i think that the needle, the pills, and parts of the gun looks too clean for the rest of the piece. maybe you could use a rusty texture over them using little opacity (around 30%)
the bloodstains and the use of the text is no more than perfect. but i think that the right portion of the image looks very color saturated. it adds more contrast, but it looks kinda odd, in my opinion.
a trick that you could use, flatten the whole image, and copy it. then undo the flatten state, and paste the flattened image on a new layer. apply a motion blur (enough to see the 'air' traces, but not much to make the image unrecognizable), and change the blurred layer mode to overlay, and reduce it's color saturation. try with 'soft light' also. it should give you a nice effect when combined to the orinal image.
that's all i can think for now to make it look better. of course, it is your piece, and you should do what you think fits the most. i'm just giving out a few ideas.
and i am sorry to hear about this... i myself had a friend who commited suicide some months ago. but i never did something like this for her... this work you're making is admirable. sometimes in tragedy we find strenght. and remember, those sad moments in life are the ones that mkes us apreciate the bright ones.

wow. this is excellent. my only suggestion would be to add a lil transparancy to the sirenge on the left side, or maybe change the blending mode. it sticks out too much in my opinion
