I put it off for so long because I keep hearing how it the plot starts off pretty boring and doesn't pick up til a good while later... but I'll be up to speed with the current episode soon

This is a great manga 
Personally I only look at the scans.
I look more anime because I find that the progress of different situations are far too long, while in the scans it passes faster.

because honestly the plot can get a bit boring... but it's one of those anime's where you grow to love the characters so much that you continue watching despite the storyline being so boring at times hahhaha
