Scars and Other Physical Deformities: Has a crooked tail that has a limp tip and a scar. Has a bite scar on his neck.

Dogkit was born to the former kittypet, Brackenberry and his former mate, Brownfur. Dogkit was the only kit to survive in his litter and was lucky to live considering he almost died from lack of oxygen. Early on Brackenberry and Brownfur broke up. The two still loved their kit but they couldn't bare to be around each other for a few minutes. His kithood was mostly normal outside of that however and Dogkit loved talking to everyone in the clan.

Dogpaw was apprenticed to Quailwing. Almost immediately the most difficult training an apprentice could get was forced upon the newly made apprentice. Quailwing would often use Dogpaw as the example for prey, claws unsheathed and putting his all into pushing his apprentice. If Dogpaw didn't do exactly as Quailwing wanted, he would be punished. The punishments varied from a slap across the face to being roughly picked up by the scruff and dragged to the moss gathering area where he'd be forced to collect moss for bedding, often being hit more. Battle training was the worst. Dogpaw would be horribly battered and forced to attack with claws unsheathed almost everyday. The once happy kit soon became depressed and nearly silent. He kept to himself most days and avoided contact with most people outside of his very small friend group and parents. He wouldn't shrink if someone wanted to talk to him however. That was how he met Frostpaw. The she-cat was very sweet and wanted to be friends with everyone. The two became friends very quickly even with Dogpaw's cold nature.
Just a few moons later Dogpaw also became friends with Squirrelpaw. The gathering they met was one of the few times Dogpaw felt safe. Frostpaw was with him and wanted him to meet someone. She introduced Dogpaw to Squirrelpaw while explaining they met a few gatherings ago. The only reason she wanted the two to meet was because she knew Dogpaw often got lonely.
Things finally seemed to be looking up for Dogpaw. Quailwing was forced by the leader to allow Dogpaw to train with other apprentices so his wounds were healing. Him and Frostpaw started growing closer day by day and Squirrelpaw was helping Dogpaw gain some confidence. The apprentice was starting to become the sweet, happy kit he used to be. On top of it all he finally found love in Frostpaw!
Then there was the one fateful hunting patrol. Quailwing dragged Dogpaw out into the forest to "catch squirrels" as Quailwing put it. Reluctantly, Dogpaw followed his mentor through the woods and close to Shadowclan territory. There they waited. Dogpaw didn't dare ask questions but as Squirrelpaw appeared near the border Dogpaw became confused as he saw his mentor smirk. Quailwing turned to his apprentice. "Kill her." The words still rang in his head as they walked back. Dogpaw was forced to kill one of his closest friends. A deep bite mark was left from Quailwing biting his apprentice. He said if he didn't kill her he would personally kill them both. Quailwing said that if he ever dared to tell anyone about what actually happened, there would be a price to pay. As they walked into camp, Dogpaw couldn't take the looks of shock. He couldn't speak while Quailwing described the horrific attack on his apprentice from a Shadowclan cat! He went into detail about how if they didn't kill the other apprentice Dogpaw would be walking with Starclan. A half truth that made Dogpaw break. He started sobbing in the middle of camp. Frostpaw and some of the other apprentices made their way to Dogpaw and started licking him for comfort. That night, and for most of the nights from that day on, Dogpaw couldn't sleep.

It didn't take long for Dogtail and Frosteyes to become mates. It took an even shorter amount of time for them to become pregnant with kits. As soon as Frosteyes told Dogtail he immediately went around camp telling everyone. It was the happiest he'd ever been in forever! Everything Dogtail did was for his pregnant mate and their kits. For the longest time he seemed to have forgotten the death of his friend and his horrible mentor. He didn't even seem to realize the once mild tensions that the clans share starting to escalate. Then the war started. Although Dogtail tried to avoid the fighting. It was impossible once his mother and father were killed fighting side by side in a battle.
Dogtail was broken down once more. The weight of his crimes and the weight of not being able to save his parents felt like a claw wedged deep in his heart. Dogtail felt like this was his fault. This was his punishment for being a coward. That's when he ran, he ran deep into the forest and stopped near the lake. He looked up at the stars, tail lashing, fur sticking out on all ends, and extremely delusional and started screaming. He screamed how sorry he was for causing this. All the war and battles. If he didn't kill Squirrelpaw then this would have never happened. If he were brave for once in his life...that's when Frosteyes came. She was so concerned and Dogtail broke down and told her everything. Frosteyes listened in horror. After the shock of it all she turned to Dogtail determined. She explained that she would tell Lilystar that instant. As Frosteyes left, Dogtail just stared into the clear, dark waters. He didn't know how long he stayed like that but when he heard the sounds of his screaming mate he ran back into the forest as fast as he could. What he saw just a tails away from the great oak would stay with him for the rest of his life. There was Frosteyes, torn to shreds. Dogtail couldn't even mourn as he started dashing back to camp. He knew exactly who did this.
Dogtail entered camp to see Quailwing pinned to the ground by some of the other warriors. His past mentor was coated in blood as he struggled to his feet. Quailwing turned and saw Dogtail. The look on the smaller warrior's face brought satisfaction to the older warrior. All he did was mock Dogtail as he tried to come closer. He was immediately tackled again. A burning rage filled Dogtail as he joined the other warriors. Only he started attacking him. He clawed his mentor open and started ripping more and more not even stopping when Quailwing stopped moving. Dogtail was finally dragged off by Clayflower and Runningwinds.
It wasn't just Frosteyes who was killed...
The war raged on until all the leaders were killed. The entire time Dogtail was riddled with nightmares and visions of Quailwing. Visions of his beautiful mate and kits dead at his feet. The journey was one of the hardest decisions in Dogtail's life. He didn't want to leave Frosteyes or their kits. But at the same time he'd finally be able to leave this awful land behind.
When it came to choosing a clan Dogtail chose Stormclan. His closest friends were already there and he didn't want to lose anyone else.
Since the journey Dogtail's dreams have gotten better. The only bad dreams he really has at this point is of his kits and blood. Maybe things can finally go back to normal
