I was gonna talk about the lore behind this thing… but like… This design of Albert was a joke at first! But I ended up liking it too much because it’s so cute… And I made it lore relevant.
This doll version of Albert actually helped a lot with the backstory of Albert and Alfred because that was the number 1 thing that made it so hard to write the pilot. Because I didn’t plan Albert’s and Alfred’s past, and what caused the Chimchuks to take over the future. Why did the Chimchuks take over? Long story short, when Albert got ran over by a train, that caused the Armageddon. (Psst, i am planning on a major update on the Chimchuks).
So… I like. I show cased that Alfred was actually a doll maker. ToyBert inspired that idea for Alfred… actually, Alfred was originally planned to be a doll, and most of my ocs were inspired by the toys I planned in childhood. This is a reference to that in my personal childhood, so It made sense. And Alfred was the one who made the doll of Albert! This is where the lore gets complex because I haven’t decided on how I want it to go…

There are two different versions on how I want the lore to go.

Version 1: The original the plan. So in Alfred is a toy maker, I shown that Albert actually appreciates Alfred’s craftsmanship, and wanted a doll himself. And he wanted a doll based off his father’s train which is why both the doll version of Albert, and the robot version are meant to resemble a train… WELL… OF COURSE ALBERT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A TRAIN. HE EXPLICITLY LOOKS LIKE A RATTLE SNAKE! Which he is… but his dad’s train was named “Rattlesnake” because his father’s train made a rattling sound like a rattle snake. Typical Texan stuff. And also his dad’s train did had diamond patterns on it… BUT THE RATTLE SOUND IS HIGHLY MORE IMPORTANT! This version makes more sense because this develops Albert and Alfred to be allies… but also Albert like hated Alfred at first… so why?

There’s a reason why I made up the other backstory… I wanted Albert and Alfred to have their rivalry explicitly explained? Because they are supposed to be enemies for the majority of the story. They will develop an ally-ship… but I wanted to give a better reason for why they were enemies. A reason for Albert to be truly mad at Alfred. Albert is mad at Alfred because Albert is insecure about himself, he recently just went to therapy with his family to discuss his bullying and his anger issues, and his mentality affecting his academics. But then got his feelings rejected because he was “too young” at 12 years old. (This was sadly based off real life events). Albert was basically told to suck it up, so he sees Alfred as weak because Alfred is mute and looks insecure, so Albert is harsh on them because deep down inside, Albert believes it helps Alfred because that’s how he was treated. But what was the match that lit the flame? Like… how did they specifically meet up?

Version 2: the doll was already made before Alfred met Albert. So like, Albert’s father’s train… which we will call Rattlesnake…. Rattlesnake always rides around town, and Alfred actually lives nearby the train station. Alfred is actually afraid of Rattlesnake because of Rattlesnake’s iconic loud rattling noise. So Alfred made up a doll which is supposed to be the main villain of Alfred’s fantasy world they made up with their dolls. That means, Alfred also made a doll version of themself, which is supposed to be the hero! Alfred also likes to bring their dolls to school, because Alfred always gets distracted and plays with their dolls in class. This is why Alfred gets bullied because they’re in middle school, and middle school is HELLISH…. Alfred attracts negative attention because of their dolls… it even attracted Albert. Albert does not judge Alfred, and is actually fascinated by Alfred’s dolls. But Albert doesn’t want to engage with Alfred because he already has bad blood with enough people already….
Then there’s the moment they meet up… Albert barely sees his dad because his dad is always riding Rattlesnake around TEXAS. And like one day, his dad was going to come home for a break. So Albert and Alfred would meet up at the train station. Make the setting raining… also their school is also nearby the train station… Which means Alfred walks home from school. Alfred is like getting chased by bullies because kids are fucking ruthless…. Then that’s when Alfred runs into Albert! Albert is waiting at the train station for his dad. Alfred bumps into Albert and the bullies come up at him. And Albert always had a reputation for being a scary ass kid (also based on my middle school life). The bullies aren’t scared of Albert really… Albert gets picked on too. But Albert feels bad for Alfred for a moment, and like for the first time since Albert clearly has issues… he beats the shit out of the bullies. Albert is actually a guy who wants to be nice… but due to that period of his life, he was not ok. The bullies run off, because Albert should be taller than him… he was 5’3 as a kid, but he will eventually become 7’5 as an adult… maybe he should be taller as a kid for that advantage… he inherited that height from his dad… his dad is like…. Jesus? 11 feet? Albert’s height was nerfed down due to his mom being a short ass Asian lady… like 5’6? My momma irl is 4’11… Asian women are way shorter than that. Then after Albert beats the shit out of the bullies… Albert like looks at Alfred menacingly… then Albert like realizes Alfred is that kid in class who always gets picked on, and this is actually realistic to a lot of middle schoolers… but there is always that one moment where you just pity a loser kid and try to be nice to them, even though they are every insecurity you have…. So Albert feels pity and feels like he needs to talk to Alfred… like after Albert does beat up the kids, Alfred is just staring at him. Alfred is doing that most likely because they’re just spaced out after witnessing that, or just spacing out in general, a lot of kids in my generation do that a lot. I think a lot of people in my generation just don’t want to exist anymore after trading our minds to the internet. Albert and Alfred were 100% iPad kids… mainly because they were 102% children of neglect.
So like after that… Albert says “Hi”… Alfred doesn’t say shit cause they’re mute. Despite Albert seeming to be the antisocial type, Albert is actually very talkative… because he’s desperate for someone to talk to. Albert will tend to go off a lot despite his whole character being that he doesn’t want to talk, because he feels like expressing emotions pisses people off. As just mentioned about the therapy conflict. So Albert like just explains to Alfred that he’s waiting for his dad. His dad owns the train station… something something… Then Alfred should drop the DOLL! The doll that Albert eventually becomes, the doll based of his father’s train, the train called rattlesnake, rattlesnake the doll… got it… (I tried to make a kronk reference). Most likely Alfred’s backpack ripped and the dolls fell out. Albert sees the dolls, and tries to start up a conversation with Alfred, Albert pities Alfred and wants to show that he cares for Alfred’s dolls… without explicitly telling that he likes Alfred’s dolls. Because that would be cringe. Albert literally does think it’s cringe to just straight up tell Alfred that, especially when Alfred is being bullied for it. I think specifically the doll version of him was right next to him, Albert picks it up, Alfred gets embarrassed… and Albert tries to start a conversation. Albert realizes that the doll slightly looks like his father’s train, and gets interested… but also confused and tries to talk to Alfred why they made a doll that looks like Rattlesnake. Alfred is mute and doesn’t tell him…. This is where Albert gets frustrated with Alfred, because Albert is insecure, but also hates other people who are more insecure than him. Albert will get a little aggressive with Alfred, not understanding why Alfred is mute. And Alfred can sense the aggression in Albert’s voice because typically hypersensitive shit. Alfred gets a little bit sad, and that’s where the main conflict starts….
Then Alfred’s mom comes in. She was revealed to be sightly unhinged. She comes in with an umbrella and she came out because Alfred was a little bit late, and she is protective of Alfred… her main conflict is that she is so protective of Alfred, that she doesn’t even trust herself with Alfred and has to neglect her own child. She’s still there though… She sees Albert, and she actually sees Albert as a friend of Albert and also her golden ticket as someone who can take care of her own child… sheesh… She introduces herself to Albert and Albert gets nervous because he feels like he has to be obligated to be friends with Alfred when Albert thinks Alfred is a loser. (This was based off when my mom dropped me off at her friend’s house so I could be friends with her daughter… we never talked to each other, so basically I spent a day with complete strangers… But what Alfred’s mom did next is kinda like kindapping). Since it was raining, Alfred’s mom suggests Albert comes home with them to get out of the rain. Grooming basically. Albert is clearly uncomfortable… a random lady is trying to lure him home… and he’s waiting for his dad. Then it starts raining harder and Albert is completely soaking wet. So Alfred’s mom basically forces him to come home with her. STRANGER DANGER! But for the sake of the plot, he gets dragged home with Alfred.
So now Albert is in a complete stranger’s house, with a kid he hoped to be just a one night.. talk… You know how like you just be shopping for something, then a random person grabs an item next to you and verbally reads out what it says on the box like they want you to listen? Albert is like that person, but instead you basically kidnap them to show whose the superior causer of anxiety. Albert tries to play it cool because Albert is desperate for a friend… Albert then decides to show his appreciation for Alfred’s dolls by suggesting how Alfred made their dolls. Alfred’s mind snaps back to reality because they heard a topic they are actually interested in, basic autistic behavior… I don’t even know what autism is, so imma jsut assume that. So like Alfred waddles to their room to show Albert, and Alfred’s room looks like the North Pole. They have selves with dolls over them, and a huge desk where they made all the dolls, and Albert is impressed because Albert thought Alfred was like insecure… as in they do nothing, but to see Alfred is capable of more than him… makes him envious… Then Albert gets fixated on the doll that was specifically based of his father’s train. And then Albert questions on what Alfred even uses the doll for…
Alfred reveals a doll that is based off themself and Alfred shows him a set up with his the main setting for all of Alfred’s playtime. This is how Alfred will communicate with Albert. Alfred gets the idea to make Albert roleplay as the antagonist while Alfred plays as their persona….
Then that’s where the real plot begins….

OMG… I JSUT ACCIDENTALLY WROTE THE ENTIRE PILOT WHEN I BEEN STRUGGLING SO HARD ON WRITING THE BEGINNING… IM FUCKING CRAZY. Like legit. I jsut made all of that up… omg… WELL AT LEAST I KNOW HOW TO START NOW! I think I’m sticking with version 2.
AND ALL OF THAT ISN’T IT! THAT WAS JUST THE BEGINNING OF IT… I wanna ramble again… it might help me make the pilot… but like… I’ll make this quick! So like after all that junk happens… THEY SKIP TO THE FURTHER WHERE THEIR ROLEPLAY SESSION, ACTUALLY HAPPENS. Albert becomes the actual doll, but as a robot cuz it’s like the future~ so does Alfred. And they have the same memories just like back when they actually played with their toys. And they are both confused because they are actually in the future. THEN THEY FIGHT!!!
Yeah I just leaked the pilot… that was only the first part. The beginning is hard! NO! THERE IS THIS ONE SCENE! That features Ellie. Remember Ellie? the princess of the chimchuks? There’s this one scene where Ellie meets Albert… which is supposed to like start the plot. It was always planned that Ellie would be the catalyst of the plot. So yeah…
