I did it in pen and ink until the very end, when I blacked over the last "A" and had to use white-out.For Mike. He called me as I had just finished the bird.

And yeah, it could be, but then it wouldn't be a white dove anymore. Unless they copied it exactly like this, with a black field and just let the skin shine through where there's white. It could work, I guess.
And I notice that I use a lot of black when I have a strong emotion, even when the emotion is a good one like love.
