Description
this is a WIP of a drawing i have been working on for... quite some time now... i kind of put off the project a wile back though... so i dicided i needed to post the WIP of it... because i am a bit stuck with the lighting and coloring of it... so i would love it if anyone could give me some tips or pointers on how to make the picture work better. i still need to make the colors stick out better and give the lighting more pop. but... im not sure exactly how to... :ci am very proud of this work so far. the detail and background i am very pleased with and this i think is the first time i have worked this well with lighting.
any input anyone could offer would be amazing
(and i think i am going to erase the vine out of his face... <_< )
art and character are copyright to me.

It's very nice, I LOVE the detail in the background. The vine should stay, it gives me the impression he's hiding from something...or perhaps sneaking up on someone.

How many light sources do you have/want to have, and where/what is it?
Also, is there a way you can just maybe post a cropped version of the head without the watermark? I think it's confusing me because it adds it's own light/shadow.

It looks amazing Charlott.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by making the lighting "pop." If you're trying to make the light areas stand out more than the dark areas the easiest was to do it would be to place an area where the light is more intense and decrease lightness the shadowed areas further away. I don't know if I'm explaining that very well. >__>;

it doesn't really matter if you erase the vine. that watermark makes it hard to see anyway.
