After the defeat of Kaos and the Arkeyans, Twilight had another problem to deal with as well as Spyro. They had to find a way to deal with the new forms given by the Iron Fist of Arkus, Master Eon recommended the Separation Spell to separate her Alicorn self and turn her back to a Unicorn, but it would require three Portal Masters to perform such a spell. The newly discovered Swap Force upgraded the Equestrian Portal of Power and Master Eon appeared in the body of an Alicorn created by the portal itself.

Master Eon, along with Princesses Celestia and Luna performed the Separation Spell, separating Alicorn Twilight and Legendary Spyro, returning Twilight and Spyro into normal forms. The essence of Alicorn Twilight and Legendary Spyro were concealed in two Soul Gems created by the watch that is around Spike's left foreleg. The Soul Gems wouldn't look useful until the Variants are unleashed to train from their originals. Twilight cares for her variant and sees her as a little sister who needed to be guided.
