Was this anime ever show on TV? Because it wasn't that doesn't count for being known in the general public. The only time he was seen on TV was in 20/20 about people quitting their jobs. At least thank god they didn't talk about his internet career, besides that show is just absolute joke and not a family friendly site. I wished they arrested Doug for making a disturbance at his workplace while quitting. To Adults, and parents watching who don't pay attention to Internet series, is really a nobody.
