Description
I've been asked for creature size comparison by a few of our members so this seemed like a thing that had to happen! I'll put this on the group's front page in a few days. Sorry for crappy quality, I'm super behind on all my self-imposed deadlines for the group and all kinds of other things internet and irl alike but I am doing my best (the raffle and some monthly prompts are in the works and will be ready soon).Sizes are approximate and just for your reference - your creatures can be bigger or smaller than the average representative of their species, i don't mind. Travelling across dimensions can influence size too, so there's always a way to explain deviations from the norm XD
All comments are loved <3
All creatures here are closed species from the The-Fading-Realms (c)

Very small usually, around the smallest lizrat size or a garxie. But I don't mind if creatures are bigger or smaller than the guideline, as long as you have an explanation for it, it can also be some local variety that's bigger or smaller because of different environments. So whatever you want c;

So a bit of story is that the Flyenas do hunt on their own when they are forced to do it but originally many of them were scavengers that lived in symbiosis with a big flying species native to their dimension of Racrar (and it was convenient for them because the bigger beasts hunted down prey and flyenas just feasted on the leftovers and one of their big goals in their travels is now to find another such species they can live alongside with again. As far as food goes, they will hunt anything smaller than them, though sometimes there's a problem with eating those things - for example garxies can turn into stone while you're trying to eat them. Out of the species presented on this chart the Lizrats would be the ones in most danger of being seen as a tasty treat by flyenas. But I also always assume that the dimensions have birds, rodents and other small creatures, I just cannot design 100 species per dimension but you are free to establish your creature's diet the way you see fit XD

100 species per dimension X'
So would the lizrats eat grass or bugs?

There are lore posts on the groups front page and such info is there.

Lol it took me a moment to realize where the Zotzi was, the Quetzi is very good at cheating^^ I like how you included the different environments as well!

Thank you for the lovely comment! X3 I was trying to fit the Zotzi closer to the Quetzi but the composition was not working out too well then, but then I decided it's in character for the Quetzi to grab all the attention and the Zotzi to just be busy with their thing somewhere to the side XD

Wow, this is extremely cool-looking! ^^
Now that they're all in one picture, you can just admire how gorgeous all of the creatures are!

Thank you! I hope it will be useful too And haha I wonder how I'll tackle new species that will be introduced, I don't think they would fit in this chart anymore so I guess I'll make part 2 at some point when next dimensions are introduced XD That won't be for a while but it will happen ;3

Thank you so much X3! I hope it will prove helpful indeed, there's so many creatures already that I felt we need some reference like that XD Nobody's a giant just yet, but there will be such later ;3

It gives me a good size idea <33 and that Umbral is a giant to them X3 <3 I can't wait to see big critters! (and Vrix eeeee)

FlyingCarpets In reply to Armegaddon [2018-08-10 21:49:36 +0000 UTC]
Yeah Umbral's nearly 3 meters tall, spotted flyenas are up to like 2m tall (mostly with wings lol) so even the biggest is smallish compared. But they can be pretty heavy so he better watch out! XD The Slyrks, which were the now extinct predators that flyenas used to co-exist with were pretty huge. Some survivers might yet be found somewhere between the stars... And of course there will be other dimensions and huge beastier there. And I can't wait for Vrixes too, I think might add them as one of the tiers for the raffle, as in, if a lot of new members join during the raffle, that will be a reward. Next week I should be done with all group updates and will launch that raffle at long last along with monthly drawing prompts XD

Oh yeah xD He could probably hold off Faerie and Flare pouncing on him, but the whole herd will knock him over xD
Oh!! Slyrks sound fancy!! (ahhh why you tease me so xP)
I hope!! TFR need more members <333

They all look pretty awesome next to one another. Honestly hadn't really thought too much about size differences of the species before aside from garxies being small.

Thank you very much! <3
Also haha XD You, the one who owns the most different TFR species lived a blissful existence while other people struggled to imagine XDD You got the sizes pretty spot on in your art though, and anyway, this is just some sort of general reference, I totally don't mind if someone's creatures are much bigger or much smaller (Alphesh might be such a case).

WolvenMonarch In reply to FlyingCarpets [2018-08-10 03:27:55 +0000 UTC]
No problem
Ah ok XD glad I got them somewhat accurate then. Just kinda figured the two flying ones would be fairly large even as adolescents, and you had said before Lizrats could get kinda large or small so kinda made Coelus the opposite of Alpesh. (Alpesh has got some room to grow though since he's still technically a pup at least. )

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS.
lol thats awesome that you made this! Very useful!
But no really i was JUST drawing an image of my flyenas and lizrat together and i didn't know their sizes compared to each other

FlyingCarpets In reply to TheMysteriousFoxxy [2018-08-09 13:59:58 +0000 UTC]
XDDDD
How fortunate then that this arrived in a timely manner! X3
Though not sure how much this helped you, since it basically says lizrats can be as big or small as you need XDDD I guess though, it would be rare if they grew much bigger than flyenas in the end XD Some art tiny forever, so whatever works best for Cammy & co X3
And omggg, I'm excited to see those drawings <333

TheMysteriousFoxxy In reply to FlyingCarpets [2018-08-09 19:20:06 +0000 UTC]
XD I actually just need Horizon compared to Boo and now knowing that Boo is a spotted so he's taller... MORE SHENANIGANS cuz originally i drew Horizon taller, but luckily i can easily fix the sketch!
Cammy however is just the size of Horizons head just about! His favorite laying spot!

FlyingCarpets In reply to TheMysteriousFoxxy [2018-08-09 22:46:27 +0000 UTC]
XD You know you can have them sized however you wanna XD But yeah in general the Spotted ones are more massive and bigger than Striped flyenas. Big Boo hehe X3
And aww, yeah flyena heads are fave travel spots for both lizrats and garxies it would seem! XD

TheMysteriousFoxxy In reply to FlyingCarpets [2018-08-10 05:44:08 +0000 UTC]
Yeah but it would be funnier if they were the correct size since Horizon is the mor serious one of the group, Boo is a troublemaker and playful, Cammie is still young and reckless and likes to bother Horizon while he sits on his head. XD Horizon tolerates Cammie cuz Cammie helps warn him about the falling rocks in that landscape..

so many sizes, and it makes real dangerous to be near them :0
and I giggle at the huge one that is piling up rocks, is he fan of jenga? XD

FlyingCarpets In reply to Dizzy-Possum [2018-08-09 14:24:19 +0000 UTC]
XDDD True but at the same time some of them would make quite the epic mounts! (though I guess they should be on a bit bigger side, these ones are kind of average representatives of their species XD)
And haha they're fans of jenga only if it doesn't fall apart XD
