Yaaaay! Okami.. I love Okami.. ^_^This is my very first attempt at doing the Sumi-e art style. I have to admit, this was a heck of a lot of fun to try.
Completed in approx. 1hr, 45 mins.

Drawn completely in Photoshop CS5, using a ASUS eee EP121 slate PC.

Yeeeeeaaaahh.. Twas me.. Done today while totally rage drawing. This very rarely happens to me, but sometimes when totally pissed off (family issues - so don't get all worried), I go seclude myself, shut off the world and just draw. Usually I throw out the drawing because it's crap. But this time I did something totally new, and it turned out rather well I'd say. -- Hehehe.. If I didn't know you better, that comment may have come off as one of those back-handed complements. "You did this? YOU?!" LOL..

You're totally right though, this is WAY out from my usual. I always wanted to try my hand at the Sumi-e style. ^_^
Yeah, Demy is WAY more the usual suspect for this kinda stuff. She even said to me today, "Holy crap! This looks like something I would draw!"

Love okami as well! ^_^ I think this is a pretty good attempt at the style for a first time! I could at least tell what the style was and the painting (colors) match the line style.

Thanks so much.. Yeah I decided to try something totally different. I'm not usually one to use the texture brushes that just about everyone else seems to swear by on dA. I'd say this turned out rather well for being totally unfamiliar territory for me.
