Description This is a 1970 Plymouth Belvedere restored to look like the car from the classic TV series "Adam 12". It has the correct interior, radio and siren gear and the correct lights, siren and markings. Various clips from the show were played throught the police radio speaker. It was pretty cool. I used to watch the show and it was a great blast from the past.

Cool- I still watch reruns of Adam Double-Twizzle (Adam 12 for those that don't understand my slang-uage, lol!) on TV every day! I've always wanted to ride around in one of those awesome-mobiles... too bad the LAPD doesn't use these any more there's one in the museum, though

I grew up watching "Adam 12" and "Emergency". I became an EMT (along with a few friends I went to school with) because of the show. The LAPD, like most departments leases their cars and turns them over every so often.

That's awesome! Hmm... I wonder if the LAPD will be replacing the Vics w/ Chargers or the new Caprices?

Only time will tell. A couple of departments around me have Crown Vics and Chargers.

Do any have the new Ford Interceptors yet? I heard that's supposed to be the new 'top car' but I don't know if they are in production stage yet, as I have only seen some prototypes being tested in various depts.

I think they're still in the pre-production prototype stage at this point, but I could be wrong. Have to check Ford's site to see if they have any updates.

There is an organization of people who buy and restore police cars, ambulances and the like.

It was an interesting time. The 2 am calls could get to you from time to time along with the patients puking, bleeding and generally making a mess in your ambulance.

It had the correct interior, radios and everything. It was done to look like the car from the old TV series, "Adam 12".

There aren't too many left. Most were driven to death and the one's that weren't were sold and most likely used as taxicabs since the underpinnings are essentially the same.

That's one of my all time favorite movies. There's a guy near me that has a car done up as a replica of the Blues Mobile. I think the only thing he had to change besides the paint was to drop in a 440 Magnum. They're fairly easy to find, since they were used in both cars and trucks.

It was a cool car. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it since at Mayfair or any other shows I've gone to. Oh well. Thanks for the fav.
