I saw this while browsing and found it intriguing enough to stop for a closer look.
I line the little creature design- it conveys a good sense of anatomy for it and the limbs seem natural and "properly placed" for it. It's easy for fantastical creatures to lose that sense of anatomy and fail to convey a sense that they have muscle and bone in there somewhere (that is if they're supposed to in the first place).
The one thing that bothers me is that it seems a little "soft" or out of focus and I'm not getting much sense of depth- you mention a "3D effect" so I'm not sure if I should attribute that feeling to whatever effect you put into place here.
3D effect or not my suggestion would be to work some shadow into the branch and tail- while the creatures body has a good sense of depth and shadow to it the tail and branch seem a little flat to me and my eye wants there to be a few darker patches worked in there which would help move the tail and the end of the branch into the background more.
