Description

Tutorial about how to make a gunshot scar with milliput putty on a BJD ^^

You may use some parts of this tuto for other scars or other modifications, of course.

This is the modeling for a bullet entrance's scar, in the palm of the doll's hand.
(of course I used pictures of real and fake bullet scars/wound as reference)

For the milliput preparation, please take a look on my flickr : milliput preparation

Step 1: Milliput sticks to everything. It's very irritating when it sticks erverywhere but not on the resin! XD

But milliput is very responsive to water.

That's why I put a little of water on my gloves before touching the putty.

I take a little of it (with my knife) and I make a putty snake in the palm of my hand with my fingers.

Step 2: I make a coil with the milliput snake (here around a toothpick).

Step 3: I put it in the doll palm. I use two toothpicks for squeeze the side of the putty on the resin. Need to fight a little if you don't want it to stick more on the toothpicks than on the resin!

Step 4: work on the milliput snake. I use my toothpick again, like a spike or a roller to form the scar. I gradually get ride of the excess of putty. I think I removed more than the half of the initial volume I have put in the hand.

Step 5 : when I'm happy with the whole  scar's look, I use a little of water in order to soften the whole scar.

----

When finished, I let the mod dry for 24h. BTW, milliput is workable 2-3h after beeing prepared! You need to work quickly. (but it's enough for such a modification. Took me 1h30-2h?)
