Here are some visual samples, depicting the effects of just a few dForce sliders in Daz Studio.Low values on the left, high on the right. Min and max values used where possible. In some cases, extreme values caused the objects to explode in a chaotic storm of polygons; in those cases, I used the highest or lowest values possible while still retaining a sensible form.

Can you not add Dforce to any clothing? I try to add a d-force modifier to clothes and most of them don't work. What gives?

After my own tests, I came to the same conclusion as you: dForce does not like extreme values. But, in seeking to optimize the use of dForce for my projects, I have discovered some unseen possibilities. Please, take a look at my posts:
