For fun I took the lineart of the merman in the short story cover picture and recolored him on the computer. I'd have to say my computer coloring skills are improving. However, my background creation skills still suck, as evidenced by the *coughcopoutcough* modified Microsoft clip art background.

I thought this would make a nice bookmark, feel free to download and print out for your own use.

Steel is a shallow-sea/estuary type merman in my world setting. That basically means that unlike his deep-sea cousins, he still has lungs and legs in addition to the gills. Fresh water isn't the healthiest for him, but it's better than no water.
