SOBS LOUDLY IT'S FINISHED(To better specify what the icons under Likes and Dislikes are it's - Likes: Tea, Jelly/Cream filled pasteries, clear-sunny days, and the beach. - Dislikes: Squash, yelling, jewelry.)
I'm super happy, because I love how it came out, and I finally have a proper ref for Dari, so no one will get confused about her colors now/ have to do extreme color picking across like 20 pictures with different shades (Yikes).
She was actually made around the same time Void was, so she's a fairly older character of mine, and despite how little I tend to draw her in comparison to Void, I love her just as much ♥ (That and drawing long hair is hell for me so I get discouraged to draw her.)
Basically I'm re-doing my refsheet set ups AGAIN but I'm a lot more happy drawing full bodies then my dinky cartoony ones my older refs have qwq I get all the detail I want this way- But I'll be keeping my older ones available so I can have a more simple/cheap ref sheet option for commissioners. (Especially since I have a bunch of WIP refs still using my old set ups that I'd hate to scrap e-e)
I'd love to know what everyone thinks about this ref layout in comparison to my older ones- and let me know if you think there's anything else I could do to improve/add to them in the future, it would mean a lot to me!

I have like 2 more full reference sheet sketches that are set up like this, 5 fullbody gift sketches, 1 simple comic-like page sketch, and 3 redraw sketches on my plate, and I have no idea where to continue- save me please.

There's just this thing about older OCs, this specific feel. Whenever I look at Rico and Jake I'm like "Man you're over 10 years old, goddamn"

I can totally imagine her in modern setting being one of those tourists who wear a shirt they think sounds cool but it's just a funny messed up translation that makes no sense, like "Get home eggs cook" or "Precise Dwarf Bravery" maybe even "Start To Stop The Keeping Warm Jar" I'm wheezing about these shirts help
But yessss- I enjoy older OCs a lot more then newer ones- because they have so much more to them, and like, established bonds and story-line so there's discernible personality : p ray : and it just makes one so interested in the character aaaa
Also heck Void and Dari are about 8-9 years old, your boys are their seniors now

Yeah Dari and Void are ancient, thousands of years old n shit like h e c k but they're still fucking children in my eyes, my blessed babs.
Also yus, while I love Josh and Glaze, they haven't been with me for even half as long as Void and Dari yet, so I tend to neglect them a bit, and I still change up their story-lines quite a bit- Ceylas is actually fairly old despite not being drawn that much, but she was originally a game character so I don't count her as much, because I only recently pulled her from just being a game character, and gave her a more unique story-line and personality.
I shall bestow upon Dari 'Precise Dwarf Bravery,' do no worries, I will not put such a task on your already overwhelmed art shoulders

Man fandom characters are such a thing, like I always say my OC count is 20, which leaves out the ToS OCs aka Martyn and Andrej (and many more) out completely.
But then again I wouldn't include fandom ocs in original stories anyway, plus they were shared ocs so I can't do much with em.
I do have a preference for my old OCs but somehow I got addicted to all my children

Sweet summer children for miles, I've got over 100 ocs, most of which don't have actual drawn out designs yet- I had an old txt doc with every one of my OC's names written down in alphabetical order hhhh
I don't think I've ever had any character that was like, fan-oc or anything, and I've never really done self-insert stuff aside from just wearing merchandise that referenced shows and stuff I like.

Honestly the ToS OCs aren't even really self insert, it's like a character based on a role. Of course ToS already has their own characters kinda but they're lacking personality and story entirely :0c
So in the end the ToS OCs are independent but I didn't bother to commit to the story cause I'm bad at killing my children- whoops.
