For this month's OC Theme Challenge the two topics I could choose from were confinement and masquerade, and I decided to combine the two!

This is a super villain idea I've had in my mind for a while. пелена (Pelena) is a Russian victim to radioactive materials which disfigured her face and mind, so she had to wear a gas mask for the rest of her life. After suffering from PTSD caused by the accident, she became mentally unstable and was put in a psychological ward under constant surveillance.

While having a panic attack after forcefully being placed in the asylum, Pelena had a vision of the world engulfed in flames, and her sitting tranquilly in the fire, on the chair in and straightjacket she currently wore. She perceived this as a symbol of power and dominance, that she will one day bring the Earth to ruins. Then she had another vision, a doctor was carrying a tray of food to a door, and soon enough the same doctor came into her room and handed her the tray. Not wanting him to leave, she concentrated her thoughts on beckoning him to stay, and he just stood there, emotionless and immobile. That's when she realized she had powers: she can observe everyone and anything regardless of location, and influence their actions. With her warped mind combined with a corruption of power, Pelena would influence innocent people around the world to commit heinous atrocities and become villains themselves, and nobody would ever know it was her pulling the strings, not even those working at the ward. Upon realizing that, she made the staff who monitored her delete her 'exchange' with the doctor from every security camera.

Sorry I haven't been active that lately, I've been working on a big project for you guys. I really hope it pays off!
